Update December 23, 2009

Update: Two soldiers will be baptised at Immanuel Baptist Church in Lebanon on December 24th at 1700 (5:00PM). These two are committing their lives to Christ and country. If at all possible, attend the service, and show your support.

It was proposed that we (Chapter 1004) assemble at O'Charley's in Lebanon for a group New Years dinner, around 1730-1800 (5:30PM-6:00PM), on December 31st.

Please don't forget to be in the Lebanon Square wearing your flash, it will be VVA 1004's way of sending off our local troops being deployed.

Thanks, ~Sarge

New Post Update

Attn: All Members

At Ronnie "T-Lightening" Hobbs' request.

Two soldiers have accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour, Amen!!!

Both are being deployed soon to the Middle East. It is their desire to confirm their Faith by Baptism prior to leaving the United States. The Pastor at Ronnie Hobbs' church has set aside a time for their Baptism during the Christmas Eve Service. It is Ronnie's request that as many VVA members come to his church to show support for these two brave young men, as they embark on both their new duty station, and on their journey as new born again Christians. More information as to times and location will be announced by Ronnie on Wednesday morning at the Old Neighborhood Grill at 0830. Please, plan to attend.

To those who can not attend the Wednesday morning meeting for whatever reason, Christmas Holiday travel or other family business. I would like to extend to all of you my wishes for a Very Merry and Blessed Christmas, and may God keep you safe and make 2010 a very prosporous New Year!!!! ~Sarge

Important Updates

Here are a couple pics from the Traveling Vietnam Wall, Manchester, TN.
F.Y.I. If you click on each picture, you can see it full size. Some of you may have to double-click the picture. Enjoy, ~Sarge
Remember, we have a Veteran's Day Parade on Wednesday Nov. 11th in Lebanon. Meeting time will be no later than 0930 at the Lebanon Library. Doc said so!!!

Also that evening, we are invited to add our chapter to a Veteran's Day Salute at Immanuel Baptist Church, on Castle Heights Blvd., in Lebanon. We are all invited for supper at 1700 (5:00PM) and take part in a program honoring all Veterans, and our fallen comrades. It would be nice if as many can make it as possible. Please contact Ronnie Hobbs at 680-2242, or email me: jerryvva1004@gmail.com, your attendance would be greatly appreciated, I believe you can also bring your families as long as we know in advance so that the correct amount of food can be prepared. We all know that Vietnam Vets don't sit well, when they're hungry, right?, Right!!! If you and your family do plan on attending, please let us know how many to plan for, we will need this information by this coming Sunday. Also, if any of you have some Vietnam War memorabilia, please bring it along for display at the church. Thanks, ~ Sarge
Attn: Here is an update, our Chapter 1004, will not be participating in a Veteran's Day program at Immanuel Baptist. There is just not enough time to put together a program. However, all of us are still invited to a free Veteran's Supper, and we will still need to know how many of us plan to attend, and we'll still need to know by Sunday, for the same reason as stated above. Thanks, ~Sarge
